Republican former State Representative Luke Messer announced on Monday that his campaign has begun airing their first campaign commercial.

"This ad furthers our momentum and is just the latest indication that Luke Messer is the strongest candidate for Republican and conservative voters in this race," stated Megan Robertson, Campaign Manager for the Messer campaign.

"Luke is the only candidate in this race with a proven record as a conservative leader. In Congress, Luke will stand up to Barack Obama and continue in the conservative tradition of conservative leaders like Governor Daniels and Congressman Mike Pence."

About Luke Messer

Luke Messer, 43, is the President and CEO of the Hoosiers for Economic Growth Network and served in the Indiana General Assembly from 2003-2006. During his tenure in the legislature, Messer earned a 100% rating from Indiana Right to Life, an "A" rating from the NRA, and was best known for authoring nationally recognized high school drop-out reform legislation. Messer is also a former Executive Director of the Indiana Republican Party, serving from 2001-2005.

Luke grew up in Greensburg, and he and his wife Jennifer are raising their two daughters and a son in Shelbyville.
